  • On January 26th, George Rangoussis (TDCT) and Bharat Maharaj (Equifax) discussed Regional Differences in Scoring Data. This was an update to the well received presentation delivered at the CSRSA Annual Conference in 2009.
  • On November 24, 2009, Benjamin Tal, Sr. Economist, CIBC World Markets, provided an economic update to a capacity audience. Mr. Tal provided commentary on various economic trends, indicators, and forecasts, and highlighted some of the key challenges being faced by consumers, firms, and policymakers.
  • On September 29, 2009, Lamar Shahbazian (Infocentricity) moderated a panel discussion on "Effect of Economic Changes on Models and Data." The panel included Wei Tang (TD Bank), Brent Reynolds (Capital One), Gary Sullivan (FICO), and Nadim Abdo (Equifax). The group shared their thoughts on how they have approached building and using models that will be less affected by future changes in light of the recent economic conditions.
  • From May 31st to June 2nd, 2009, the CSRSA hosted our 16th Annual Conference at the new conference facilities at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario. The agenda included presentations by Craig Alexander, Deputy Chief Economist for TD Bank Financial Group. Panel sessions and breakout sessions hosted by our Sponsors and/or lenders provided attendees with a wide variety of interesting topics including best practices in credit risk management, fraud prevention, collection strategies, and much more.
  • On March 31, 2009, Ana Marcos, Director of Client Services Angoss Software Corporation presented "Collection Strategies for the New Normal – Optimizing Recoveries for Early and Late Stage Debt". The presentation examined new approaches in collections analytics based on payment behaviour and debtor segmentation to increase cash flow and reduce write-offs, while maintaining a retention-oriented customer service. The presentation included a case study illustrating the business value of the new strategies.
