Annual Conference - May 25, to 27, 2008
The annual CSRSA conference provides a forum where members can gather in an open and non-competitive environment to learn and share information in the interest of advancing the Canadian credit risk management industry as well as, enhancing their professional capabilities. With the presence of many of the leading industry vendors, the CSRSA conference is the only venue where attendees can learn about the latest advancements, trends and issues in our industry from a wide variety of vendors. The annual conference is open to members and non-members alike who are encouraged to take advantage of a valuable learning and networking experience.
This year the CSRSA celebrates its 15th Annual Conference!! Join your colleagues as we return to the Taboo Golf Resort and Spa in Gravenhurst, Ontario to celebrate this milestone event. The full agenda is now available (click here).
Predicting the Future: Gazing into the Crystal Ball
Over the last few months banks worldwide have been writing down billions in losses in the US subprime mortgage and real estate backed investment sectors. Now is the time to analyze “what went wrong”. Come to the 15th Annual CSRSA conference where a panel of credit scoring and industry experts will discuss how things got so badly offside - and more importantly - what we can learn to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Other General Sessions at this year’s conference include:
- Economic Outlook - Craig Alexander, Deputy Chief Economist for TD Bank Financial Group
- Paul Robinson, Canadian Tire - "Using Custom Analytics and Scorecards to Serve the Underserved Credit Market"
- Trans Union & Canadian Tire - "Fraud Trends and Anti Money Laundering Legislation"
Our Keynote Speaker this year will be Bill Carr, an acclaimed Atlantic-born Canadian who is known for the laughter and fun of his material and also for his studied insights. He teaches people how to successfully navigate the sometimes choppy waters brought on by constant change. He introduces to people a new and refreshing perspective on life – "seeing ordinary things in extraordinary ways". He provides insights into the attributes we look for in character-based individuals who operate from a set of values and principles that set them apart.
Plus much more...numerous breakout sessions will be hosted by either or both Sponsors and lenders to provide attendees with a wide variety of interesting topics including best practices in credit and operational risk management, fraud management, analytics. etc.
